Dr Kamal Singh Dhaliwal BA (Hons.)(Psych.), DPsych(Clin), MAPS
Clinical Psychologist
Kamal graduated with an Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of Queensland and obtained his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Griffith University on the Gold Coast. He is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and is registered to practice as a Clinical Psychologist with the national Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Kamal was a registered professional supervisor for the Queensland Psychologist’s Board for 15 years. In this capacity, he supervised both provisionally and fully registered psychologists, as well as postgraduate Masters and PhD level psychology students for Griffith University.
Kamal also serves on the Board of Busy at Work, which is a Not-for-Profit community organisation involved in providing training and support to workplace apprentices and employers.
Kamal also has extensive experience in clinical practice, and he is accredited to provide therapy services for WorkCover Queensland and Queensland, Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA), ComCare, Medicare, private health funds, insurance companies and Employee Assistance Schemes (EAS).
In addition, Kamal has developed and runs workshops in Conflict De-escalation for staff in workplaces in how to effectively and safely deal with angry/abusive client presentations.
Kamal (AKA DrKamal) has also produced an innovative online program to help Couples Repair and Enhance their Relationship. This program would help couples navigate their way through the unique pressures that come with a Fly in Fly out (FIFO) work schedule.
